A way to a man's heart is through his stomach. Today Kristine got me a box of Chocolate covered strawberries and apples! Delivered to me at work!

Here's the box 30 seconds later...

I love you Kris! Thanks for the gift and Happy 13th anniversary!

Adventures

Category: About Us | Posted by: Kristine

One of the things I love about us is that at the drop of a hat - we're off adventuring (when we're not crazy busy working that is)... mostly cruising with the top down around our very own city, checking out parts of town we haven't seen, driving through our favorites PCH towards Encinitas and Solana Beach, the Del Dios scenic route to Del Mar, stopping at any eatery we see just for fun - and yours truly (paparazzi extraordinaire) snapping away, to keep every mini adventure close =).  Happy 13th Anniversary to my partner in crime...here's to many more years of memorable adventures.

Lucky 13

Category: About Us | Posted by: Jay

I never cease to surprise anyone when people ask how long we've been together. "13 years", and yes at the time when you are almost 5 years older than your girlfriend, dating a 15 year old never really paints a good picture.

It wasn't easy for most people to grasp the idea that you could have a meaningful relationship at that age, but I always believed that as long as you have it right in the head it didn't really matter. Kristine was that kind of girl who had it together, and she had an exponential amount of wisdom than most people in their mid 20s. In retrospect, all I can really say is, how many people have you known have had a marriage lasts as long as 13 years these days?

To my betrothed: Thanks for the most amazing 13 years! Cheers!

Our Little Peanut...

Category: About Us | Posted by: Kristine

Almost a decade ago, I got Jay a stuffed animal puppy for one of his birthdays (or anniversaries) - it's really hard to remember since we've been going out for so long =) I named the stuffed animal Peanut because I thought it was cute and at the time we couldn't have a real dog.  Jay's a super sentimentalist so he kept that gift pretty close - and we still have it today.

Just 7 months ago - we were taken with the cutest yorkie puppy we've seen (even though he looked like a Chihuahua when we first got him)... he melts our hearts so aptly we named him Peanut!  We love him to pieces so here are a few snapshots of our new puppy...

The shot to the left Julie took of him in the first months that we had him and the picture at the top is when Jac and Derek took us to Dog Beach - where their dogs Dougy and Figs showed him the ropes and protected him against all the bigger dogs he was afraid of at first.  He's a quick adapter to different environments, he jumped right into the ocean without hesitation and his many nicknames range from "Nutsy", "Nutsilstiltskin", "Nuthead" and the cutest one, "Licky McLickerson" because he loves to give wet, sloppy kisses.

About our Gift Registry

Category: Wedding Stuff | Posted by: Kristine

Being as though Jay and I are far from conventional - we wanted to create something that was unique to us and SIMPLE to you! We found that being able to go through one source (our website) was helpful to all of you! In addition to our love of design, art, history, and architecture, our BIGGEST love is TRAVEL!  One of our many goals over the course of our marriage is to travel all the great cities and countries (as many as we can hit anyway given the constraints of time and money) :) So with Jay's web designing skills and programming - we've devised our very own wedding registry site - a one stop shop for all of you - to help us build a foundation for our new life together and to aid in making our honeymoon the coolest trip ever (we're headed to Europe right after the wedding)!!  Below are just a few pics from our travels together over the last 13 years... thanks to all of our family and friends for making our first start into married life a great one.

ATV Rides with the buds along the Mexican Riviera

Breathtaking Hubbard Glacier in Alaska...
